Abstract
Algebraic systems abstracting properties of convex bodies and intervals, with respect to addition and multiplication by scalars, known as quasilinear spaces, are studied axiomatically. We show that every quasilinear space with group structure is a direct sum of a vector space and a symmetric quasivector space; a complete characterization of the latter spaes in the finite dimensional case is given.
