Abstract

This paper is about the application of multimedia technology in the teaching and learning process. We are all witnesses of the problems in the educational systems in many countries. Most of the theories on education goals agree that students should be taught to think independently and their knowledge should satisfy the needs of the society. In this context, the computer technology and, particularly, the multimedia technology can play an important role in improving the educational process. While developing educational software, except the technical aspects, one should also consider the pedagogical basis for the concrete problem on one side and the teaching theories on the other side.
